Hi Lea, I hope you try it again with the suggested ingredients. I used 1 teaspoon fine salt instead of 1 1/2 teaspoons (1/2 Tablespoon). The baking soda is supposed to mellow out the sauce a little bit, make it less acidic, and possibly prevent heartburn.
